Imagine you are the size of Traction Man and are exploring our school garden. Write from the point of view of the character using the first person (I). What does it look, feel and smell like?
Include lots of adjectives and try to add similes and metaphors. Remember to think, say, write and check!
I am squeezing through the narrow gate, which now leads me to a fresh smell of herbs. I was attracted by the sweet smell so I followed it, and it leads me here. Shaped as a dome, The lush green grass was a forest. I was amazed that the grass was so big compared to me! When I was in the green, it looked like I was amidst nowhere since I was so mini!”
ReplyDeleteThis all started last night, where the beam of the full moon lighted the whole of the shimmering sky. It was as bright as the sun itself. I was on a mission to destroy the toy robbers hiding on the big Heath Road city. As a ninja I was not to be seen in the dark night.
Suddenly I heard guns. I immediately took cover. When I tiptoed down the city of gloom, BANG! I was shot instantly.
The next morning I found out that I was actually alive! I feel like they were not actual bullets, they were sleeping pills, lucky me! The moment I raised, I smelt the fragrant smell of herbs, as wonderful as a daisy. I followed the smell and that’s how I came here.
Anyway, here I am ,near the herbs , the only thing that stands between them and me is the challenging Mount Bucket and Professor Dandelion’s lair. As I step forward into pure darkness, as dark as a moonless night., I climb and climb Mount Bucket, never resting until I get to the top. Finally, the last little climbs. Well done me! I heaved myself to the top.
Then I got the sensation to urge for further exploration. I jumped like a kangaroo to the end of Professor Dandelion’s lair, I had made it Finally!
As a reward I helped myself to some tasty herbs, before leaving the plant.
I decided that I would explore the wonderful garden town. Moving on I saw the giant pumpkins at their best. Utterly amazing I thought when I saw them.
Suddenly I looked down and seeing the most gigantic carrot! “Wonderful, although it feels hard’’ I muttered to myself. I carried on “ great smell!”
I know I shouldn’t be wondering somewhere as I’ve got a mission to accomplish, but this is so amazing I don’t want to miss even a microsecond of this.
Anyway, the final things, tasty giant beetroots and juicy gigantic tomatoes. Just saying those words makes my mouth water.
The tomatoes were a bit squishy, but I guess they have the same taste, as they smell good!
Finally the last one of them all! Beetroot! “What a fragrant smell” I complimented while smelling. Feels hard, looks good I thought. For some reason I felt the beetroots were about to wink at me and yelling at me to eat them!
The sunflowers were looking down at me. They were skyscrapers themselves! Compared to my tiny size they were gigantic!
I guess its farewell to garden city now, might visit some other time to actually taste these! For now, I’ve got a mission to accomplish! ZOOM!
Wow! Good word Sid!

ReplyDeleteI am exploring the school garden.
I had to duck under the branch of the pumpkin and could smell fresh cut grass. Now, there was a giant pile of mud which I had to go into to get to the other side of the garden. So, I got my boots on and went into the mud ''squish squelch''. I was out of the mud and into the muddy water splish, splash I was free.
I could smell perfume from the roses. I could see brown bark which was bumpy to the touch. The grass was as green as limes, the leaves smelt earthy. The rocks are rough on my hands and the leaves are prickly to the touch. The sky was as black as a panther.
THE END
I am walking in the grass with my mighty friend Scrubbing Brush. I jump onto the wood and I walk to the edge. I slip into the soil and get stuck in the cobwebs. ''Agh!'' I say as I try to get out of the cobweb. But then my friend Scrubbing Brush pulls me out of the cobweb and saves me. Then an evil army of Tomatoes start to attack me and I get a shiver up my spine. I get my sword out and attack them. KABOOM CRASH BANG WALLOP! I defeat them all and I save the whole entire garden. The end.
